Personal Transformation

People come to counselling for a wide range of issues and they live in diverse contexts and situations. My aim is to meet each person with curiosity, compassion, and caring. I focus on highlighting strengths while helping to unpack the patterns and stories that concern people. I might also draw upon practices of mindfulness (guided exploration, meditation, visualization) creative activity (drawing or writing stories/dialogues, expressive arts) or habit tracking practices (worksheets or journaling) to support noticing and learning.

Some example areas are:

  • Support for caregiving/caregivers

  • Gender affirming care

  • Changes in career/relationships

  • Support through medical journeys

  • Grief

  • Adult ADHD or Autism support

  • Support for people coping with social injustice including micro-aggressions, invisibility, anger.

  • Anxiety

  • Feeling stuck

  • Aging and increased feelings of vulnerability

  • Life cycle transitions

  • Trauma due to injury, abuse, or proximity of war
